I can see the temptation to deal with the demon for victory and then the duplicity of the demon taking advantage for its own ambitions, I’m interested in going forward whether the demon changes after meeting the daughter and the wife of the man he’s supplanted.
It would - in my head- be well before Nikole and Zayn. Closer to the Blood Gold novella where the Algula were created.
Just thoughts I’m toying with.
But I love the Arabic world and using it in my works. Bringing my ancestry into it.
Maybe that could be part of how Haydar was able to run his family out of Zahle, using the ghouls? I don’t know. I left a lot untouched in those 4 books.
I agree it can stand on its own but maybe join that universe. I’m going to do a Chapter a week so feel free for feedback
There’s certainly scope to weave this into the origins of the world that Nikole and Zayne came to inhabit I think that’s a good idea you might end up with Tolkienesque saga.

I was TOYING mentally with making this part of the Blood Series world. But I just don’t think I left an opening there for a Ghoul “demon”.
