It seemed like nothing made sense in my head. I could feel something pulling on me, but I wasn’t sure if that meant I needed to follow it. At some point, giving my life over to fate was all I had the capability of doing. My mind tormented me, the pain, agony and aching feeling of dying were increasing minute by minute. I didn’t want to leave my family, my friends, or Freddie. But anguish and despair were slowly overcoming my mind.
Sarah, please.
I heard my name. It was faint, but I knew I heard it.
She can’t be dead.
That sounded like Seth!
“Seth! I’m here, I’m not dead!” I called out over and over, but no one responded. Was I having some dream from the drugs they gave me? Or was this an out-of-body experience? I did not know what to do to process all of this.
Sarah, come back!
That was Freddie. I would recognize his voice anywhere. I could feel my soul warming. A hot sensation was taking over. Was that because Freddie was with me? If he was with me and still talking to me, that meant I had to be alive. I needed to fight.
