This is in response to a writing prompt by Ranch Hand Agency located on Medium.

I had been a good girl all year, and I knew that Santa was going to reward me for my efforts. How did I know this? Because I was sent a letter in the mail.

The outfit I had picked out for this rendezvous was a hot pink dress with an A-line cut. I styled my hair and applied my makeup. I was going to make the perfect impression. For many reasons, I was nervous, but when dreams come true, you grab the opportunity by the horns and just go with it.

I arrived at the hotel room; my hands trembled as I knocked on the door. I took a deep breath in and let it out slowly as the door began to open.
